MIBOR interest

The interbank interest rate for deposits in pesetas used in the Madrid market. The MIBOR (Madrid Interbank Offered Rate) was obtained through the weighted average of cross transactions in different terms on a given day. After the euro was introduced in Spain, it was renamed as the Euribor. However, it is still used as a reference for mortgages signed before 1998.
